Build Strength and Flexibility in Your Ankles
This warm up routine and series of exercises helps dancers build strength and flexibility in their feet and ankles. Building powerful and flexible muscles in our feet, toes, calves, and ankles helps us as dancers in countless ways. Keeping our feet and ankles strong is critical or performances, especially for those looking to go en pointe. This routine is also great for avoiding some of those common foot and ankle injuries that are wildly painful and sometimes take us off the dance floor.
In this video Cindy will taking you through one of her favorite 10-minute foot & ankle routines. To complete this routine you will only need a resistance band and spiky or lacrosse ball. Optionally, you may use a yoga mat for comfort.
